Jonathan Chambless
Circle Developer / Governor, Accumulate Foundation · MicroPay Technologies
The political, legal, regulatory, and compliance environment is the fulcrum upon which companies live and die — that's what I speak on, from corporate digital asset treasury to industrial payroll.

Who Gave Me My First Break
I've had a relationship with Shelton and StandWithCrypto ever since my time with Blockchain at ASU. I was given the opportunity to work with the Georgia StandWithCrypto chapter president because of Shelton, and presented at Atlanta Tech Week earlier this year. I was also able to introduce Sandi, of Women of Web3, with Blake Spurgeon of Startup Fund and Startup Central — a new startup incubation platform based on advanced manufacturing, with a Solana-based token.
I'm a Circle developer — I represented Circle dev at ETH Global last year, and did Singapore marketing for them. I'm also a governor of the Accumulate Foundation, the historical compliance L1 for some of the most sophisticated tokenized securities in the market today, globally.
What I'm Building Now
Most CTOs and CFOs don't care about crypto broadly — what they care about is what they pay for payroll and what they pay to process transactions. If you aren't incurring additional risk by introducing crypto's volatility, and you focus on a stable approach, local CTOs and CFOs who want to reap the cost-processing benefits — especially cross-compliance, cross-jurisdictional — start paying attention. Now you're talking about something that adds value to an existing organization, whether they understand blockchain or not.
If you're a multinational corporation responsible for salaries and paydays across time zones, and you need to fulfill data retention requirements in every jurisdiction — GDPR, MiCA, the Monetary Authority of Singapore — then reducing foreign exchange risk across the world through stable products, in a way that achieves political, legal, regulatory, and compliance as a stack, is what builds trust. If you want their trust, you have to speak that language.
- Corporate digital asset treasury — the umbrella for multinational payroll compliance and forex risk reduction
- Governor of the Accumulate Foundation, a compliance-focused L1 for tokenized securities
- Circle developer, worked directly with the Circle and Amazon team on the new Arc protocol
- Background spans Web2 and Web3 securities compliance over four years

Jonathan Chambless: Corporate Digital Asset Treasury
Jonathan Chambless on why compliance, not technology, is the fulcrum companies live and die on when it comes to corporate crypto adoption.
Future
Where We're Going
Now that crypto is entering into US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, there's a saying in Colombia: you cannot block the sun with your finger.
The GAAP accounting principles have been here longer, but the new regulatory authority — the GENIUS and CLARITY acts — become reportable once implemented through generally accepted accounting procedures. That's the watershed moment within cross-jurisdictional retention requirements. Once GENIUS and the STABLE Act translate into GAAP, places like the Monetary Authority of Singapore and everywhere else will likely follow.
If you want to talk to CTOs and CFOs of large corporations, you have to speak in a compliance way. If it's not stipulated by US GAAP, they can't even hear what you're saying — it's additional risk they're paid to prevent for their corporation.
